DARE TO BE DIFFERENT
During the Great Recession Ryan pursued an economics degree which made him question the impact of modern financial institutions on society. His interest in the evolution of decentralized finance became the catalyst for finding ways to change his personal financial freedom.
As an early adopter of cryptocurrency, he was enthusiastic about how blockchain technology could improve our world; but he experienced an isolating disconnect when attempting to convey the opportunities in DeFi to friends and family. It became evident that when people initiated questions around crypto, the conversation flowed more naturally. This sparked the realization that a tangible product could help facilitate more approachable dialogue.
As a former craft distiller he blended his distilling expertise with his desire to motivate others to explore the opportunities in decentralized finance, ultimately giving rise to DEFI Spirits.

PURPOSE
An entrepreneur, adventurer and an advocate for breaking tradition. As a prior co-founder of a large craft distillery Jenna's passion for how chemistry affects flavor flourished. She recognized the unbalanced female presence in the spirits industry and was inspired to join the movement of women creating thoughtful, premium spirits.
Creating bottles to help make decentralized finance seem less daunting was just the first step to applying her business strategies and philanthropic mindset. Authenticity, innovation, and charity are the foundation of Jenna's hopes for DEFI Spirits.
A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Formerly a professional rugby player James was conditioned to "control the controllables". The economic environment created by the 2020 pandemic motivated James to research how to have more financial control in his life and led him to decentralized finance and the technology that powers it. As an expert in international agriculture he values sustainability and not only sourcing the finest crops, but celebrating the stories of the real life farmers bringing spirits to your glass.

James believes DEFI Spirits is the catalyst for meaningful discussion around decentralized finance as we strive to provide our friends and family with ways to achieve long-term financial security.
